Additional Offerings
T.R.O.T.R is a non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating abandoned and abused horses for adoption as well as providing therapeutic riding sessions to mentally and physically challenged children at minimal cost to them.
Our ranch is maintained entirely by community volunteers ages 12 and up, from all walks of life -- some come out on a weekly basis to clean the stalls of the livestock or put their carpentry and mechanical skills to work maintaining our property and some are specially trained volunteers who help with the therapy sessions, many of which are supervised by PATH certified instructors.
Our therapy program uses both rescued horses and horses that are no longer young enough for rigorous riding, but still have the strength and patience to bring enjoyment and physical rehabilitation to special needs children. Since 2007, our horses and our community volunteers have served an average of 60 clients per year. You can find out more about how our work changes the lives of our clients at our website, www.trotr.org.
